Americana Honors & Awards 2022 Winners

The Americana Music Association announced the winners of the 21st annual Americana Honors & Awards at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN on September 16th 2022.

Billy Strings, Allison Russell and War & Treaty were the night's big winners picking up the awards for Artist Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Duo/Group Of The Year.

Billy Strings had previously been nominated for the Emerging Act of the Year award at the Americana Awards in 2020, but lost out to Black Pumas. Allison Russell won the Album Of The Year award for her Dan Knobler-produced album Outside Child.

Holler favourite Sierra Ferrell won the award for Emerging Act Of The Year to top off her unstoppable year, while Brandi Carlile won the Song Of The Year award for 'These Silent Days'.

Larissa Maestro was named Instrumentalist Of The Year.

The Americana Honors & Awards show took place at the Ryman Auditorium and featured appearances and performances on the night from Adia Victoria, Buddy Miller, James McMurtry, Lucinda Williams, Lukas Nelson, The McCrary Sisters, Morgan Wade, Neil Francis, Phosphorescent, as well as the winners on the night.

Presenters included Allison Moorer, Dom Flemons, Hayes Carll, Jerry Douglas, Lucius, Lyle Lovett, The Milk Carton KIds and Molly Tuttle.
